Thank You Photoville!

This year's Photoville was off the charts awesome! It was an honor to be included along side so many incredible photographers. Special thanks to Sam Barzilay, Laura Roumanos, Dave Shelley and Jasmin Chang for inviting Lynne Corriea and I to create a mini dog/kids portraits studio and the entire Photoville crew for helping us make it happen. Also, thank you to all the parents for bringing their kids and pups to be photographed. We had an amazing turnout, and enjoyed every minute of it. That being said, for your viewing pleasure, I wanted to share the gallery of images captured that day. Enjoy!     #Photoville Rules!!

Photoville 2015

I'm excited to share that images from my Dog Day High series will be on display at this year's Photoville. 

Lights, camera, action! 

Bring your kids and your pups on Sunday, September 20th 3-6pm as costume designer Lynne Correia and I come together to transform the Photoville Activity Tent into a portrait studio. Your kids and your pups can don custom-made costumes and pose in front of colorful backdrops. They'll have a blast and you'll have one-of-a-kind images of your treasured family members. The photos can be downloaded online after Photoville, so the memories are yours to keep. 

Photoville on the Brooklyn Waterfront is built from repurposed shipping containers, combining photo exhibitions, outdoor photo installations, talks, workshops, and night-time multimedia events in their Beer Garden in Brooklyn Bridge Park runs from September 10 - 20, 2015 and is FREE for everyone to attend and enjoy!.

International Photo Festival Leiden

I'm honored to be one of 20 American photographers invited to be a part of the International Photo Festival in Leiden Pieterskerkhof, Netherlands. A selection from my All Eyes On U! series is featured along side some incredible images created by photographers: Manjari Sharma, Thomas Jackson, Gregg Segal, Hector Rene, Jeff Rich, Sam Comen, Andrew Frost, Lauren Welles, Nathan Bett, Syd London, Monica Merva, Keren Moscovitch, Irina Rozovsky, Elizabeth Herman, Debi Cornwall, Alice Proujansky, Elizabeth Moran, Sara Macel and Restless Collective. 
This marks the first satellite exhibition of Photoville New York. In keeping with the Photoville spirit all images are being shown in sea shipping containers. The International Photo Festival Leiden runs from October 11- November 8 2014. Special thanks to curator Sam Barzilay, Dave Shelley, Laura Roumanos and Gilbert!

Cat Heads

This personal project came about by accident. Each time I was set up to photograph a dog portrait a curious cat would walk on set. Cats love paper! It was as if the cats were demanding their close-up. Unlike dogs, who freely express their emotions cats are bit more challenging to read. You can usually tell a cat's mood by the expression in their eyes and sometimes the smack of their tail.
